WRV Jr./Sr. High conducts mock election

White River Valley Junior/Senior High School conducted a mock election on Monday in preview of the general election the next day.

The voting was split into three grade bands (7th/8th, 9th/10th, and 11th/12th) with an overall winner for the school in five federal/state elections.

Some elections were tight with Democrats and Republicans winning with certain age groups. Overall, Mitt Romney won the Presidential Election with a resounding 61% of the vote.

Joe Donnelly won handily with 63% of the popular vote in the U.S. Senate race. The U.S. House of Representatives for District 8 was won by Larry Buchson with 55% of the vote. John Gregg won by the biggest margin with 67% of the vote in the race for Indiana governor, while Jeff Sparks won the statehouse spot with a mere 51% of the vote.
