Multiple police agencies were investigating a death in the Greene-Sullivan State Forest Thursday evening.
Rescue units and police were dispatched to the archery range in the state forest around 6 p.m. Thursday.
There, law enforcement found the body of a male in his mid-20s on the range, located behind Pit 26 and near the forest's four-way bridge.
"They're still out there investigating," said Sullivan County Sheriff's Department dispatcher Rachel Shew shortly after 9 p.m.
However, the identity of the man had not yet been released by police investigating the incident Thursday evening.
Indiana State Conservation Officer Jay Baker was reportedly the lead investigating officer on the case, assisted by the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department, Indiana State Police, and Dugger Town Marshal David Heaton.
