Lady Bulldogs win first game

Union earned its first victory of the season Thursday night in Morgan County.

The Lady Bulldogs scored 10 of the first 12 points and never looked back as Union defeated host Eminence 51-19 in a non-conference high school girls basketball game Thursday night.

"It was nice to get a win under our belts," said Union coach Benji Boyd, who's Lady Bulldogs improved to 1-3. "We had three tough losses and could have won all three."

Kolbi Reynolds led the winners with 16 points and Hallie Smith aded 12.

"Kolbi and Hallie had struggled some shooting to begin the season," said Boyd. "It was good to see them get it going offensively.

"Defensively, we also did a nice job."

Eminence dropped to 0-2.

There was no junior varsity game.

Union wil be off until Thursday, Nov. 29 when they play another varsity-only contest at White River Valley.
