Sign erected at Greene County Courthouse

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

(Photo)
A new brick and stone informational sign, at the right of the photo, was recently constructed at the east entrance of the Greene County Courthouse in downtown Bloomfield. The sign was the work of Dan Veatch Masonry. Graves Plumbing Company dug the footer and poured the concrete for the project. [Order this photo]

Maybe the work was donated? Just a thought.

I hope Michael and Sons Inc. cut the limestone rockface caps. Keep it local.

Maybe the Chamber of Commerce can include a Post Card of this scene in a

packet to promote new business to the area.

lulu54- It may seem obvious to us, but many times I have been in an unfamiliar town trying to find the courthouse. It can be difficult to drive safely in traffic on unfamiliar streets and at the same time try to figure out the buildings by the way they look. I think this was a great idea that will benefit many people for decades to come.

The sign looks great! It is very appropriate and fits in well with the addition. Nice job!
