Bulldogs lose at home

Visiting Eminence outscored Union 25-6 in the second quarter, taking command of a non-conference high school boys basketball game Saturday night at Dugger.

The Eels ended up with a 65-50 victory over the Bulldogs, who slipped to 0-4.

Ethan Fettig made 8 of 15 shots and finished with 16 points. He also had nine rebounds, six assists and one block.

Ian Hamburg collected 15 points, including making two 3-pointers and both of his foul shots. He also had four steals, four rebounds and one assist.

Austin Robertson, who had 18 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks the night before against Clay City, finished with eight points, including 2 of 2 shooting at the foul stripe. He grabbed seven boards and finished with three blocks.

Sterling Langley made three baskets, including a pair of 3-pointers as he contributed eight points, four rebounds, one steal and six assists.

Trey Bedwell hit one basket and finished with two points to go with one rebound and one assist.

Zac Birdsong did not score but added two rebounds and one assist.

Union will host Shakamak on Saturday, Dec. 8.
