He was born Dec. 28, 1939, in Dugger, the son of Isaac House II and Bertha I. (Bryant) House.
He was a highline worker for IBEW and retired as a superintendent. He was a member of New Covenant Church in Linton and was a veteran of the United States Army.Survivors include his wife, Sherry (Markle) House of Linton, three sons, Terry Joe House of Linton, Steven Isaac House of Florida, and Lanny Joe House of Milltown; two brothers, Richard House and Nick House, both of Linton; three grandchildren, Joshua House, Melinda House, and Caleb Gwyn, all of Linton; and two great-grandsons, Konner Levi Isaac House and Gunner Lewis Jo Hardig; and another soon-to-be great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Doris Belcher, Barbara Rentch and Evelyn Hardiman; and a brother, James D. House.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 A.M. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Bo Simmons officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
