Bulldogs slip to 0-5

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

Hutsonville-Palestine outscored Union 17-12 in the fourth quarter to hold on for a 45-42 victory in a non-conference high school boys basketball game in Illinois Tuesday night.

The loss was the fifth in as many games for the Bulldogs., who got 12 points from Ian Hamburg, 11 from Austin Robertson and a team-high 13 from Sterling Langley.

"We played again tonight without Ethan Fettig, who has the flu," said Bulldog coach Chip Langley. "He was sorely missed.

"But we had problems with turnovers. We had 18 and that is just too many. We have to be able to protect the ball better."

Langley said they had trouble finding the basket.

"We had about 80 percent of our shots from inside the paint, but still shot a low percentage," he said.

The Bulldogs will play a conference game Friday at Eastern Greene.
