He was born in Bloomington on Aug. 31, 1958 to Leon and Carolyn (Abram) Freeman.
He was a graduate of Eastern Greene High School. Jerry was a carpenter with Artisan Construction in Jamestown since retiring from the Laborers Union in Bloomington. Jerry loved to restore old John Deere tractors, ride his Harley and camp. He was dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cindy (Hero) Freeman, son, Christopher Freeman of Bloomington, stepson, James Uland of Ellettsville; mother, Carolyn Freeman of Solsberry; sister, Angela Creger of Solsberry ; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leon Freeman; son, Joshua Freeman and grandparents, Johnny and Goldie Freeman and David and Marian Abram.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Pastors Ed Tharpe and Greg Briles will officiate.
Burial will follow at Gross Cemetery in Whitehall. Visitation will be 4-8 pm, Friday and 10 am until time of service on Saturday.
