LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Dec. 21 to 23 included: Two trespassing; one fraud; two medical/extractions; two follow up investigations; three information requests; one fight; one utility assist after hours; one vandalism; one protective order violation; one property dispute; one civil complaint; two accidents with personal injury; three accidents with property damage; one funeral escort; six medical/illness; five alarms; one suspicious vehicle/person; two assists to other agencies; one harassment complaint; one theft; one animal/debris in roadway; one disabled/stranded vehicle; one welfare check/concern; two arrests on warrants; one fire department assist; two domestic disputes; one open door/garage; one ordinance violation; one battery; and 12 traffic stops.
* Dec. 21 -- Dustin R. Morgan, 30, of Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended. Officers Michael Watts, Rodney Bredeweg and Jason Wilson were dispatched to a wreck on 5th Street NW in Linton. The vehicle driven by Morgan hit a tree head on. Morgan and his passenger were both covered in cuts and blood from the accident. Officers determined Morgan was intoxicated due to failing a field sobriety test. He was taken to the LPD where he tested a .13 blood alcohol content. He was arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail.
* Dec. 23 -- Jason Alton, 21, was arrested by the Linton Police Officer Michael Watts at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Linton for an active warrant in Sullivan County. Alton was transported to Dugger, where he was released into the custody of Sullivan County.
