Anne Marie Emminger
Anne Marie Emminger, 20, of Bloomfield, is accused of sending text messages containing nude pictures of herself to a 13-year-old girl.

An investigation by the Indiana State Police has been ongoing since Dec. 8 and on Friday, a warrant was issued for Emminger's arrest. She was booked in to the Greene County Jail on Saturday.

The case was filed in Greene Circuit Court and when Emminger appears for an initial hearing, she will be charged with two counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors, both class D felonies.

ISP Trooper Richard R. Klun started his investigation after the child's parent reported she had become suspicious, confiscated the child's iPhone then discovered nude pictures -- naked, full body pictures, and sexual text messages, sent to the child allegedly from Emminger.

The parent voluntarily and willingly gave possession of the iPhone to Trooper Klun for processing and evidence collection.

In a probable cause affidavit prepared by Klun, he stated that ISP checked Emminger's driver's license and the BMV photo of Emminger appeared to match the person in the pictures on the child's cell phone.

The child was then interviewed by a caseworker from the Department of Child Services (DCS) in Greene County.

Following the interview, Greene Circuit Court approved a search warrant for Emminger's cell phone.

On Dec. 11, Klun and Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Lt. Harvey Holt found Emminger working at Huck's gas station in Bloomfield and observed her with an iPhone. Emminger surrendered her phone to Klun without confrontation and agreed to talk with him at the Greene County Sheriff's Department.

The affidavit states Emminger told Klun she knew the child was 13 and it wasn't right, admitted she sent the first picture to the child but said it was meant as a joke. In a later interview, Emminger reportedly also indicated she had asked the child to send nude pictures in return. Again she allegedly stated she was aware the child was only 13 prior to sending and asking for nude pictures.

Evidence obtained after the iPhones were processed by a detective in Owen County includes a CD containing data files from both phones. The affidavit states the data recovered includes seven nude photos of Emminger.

Emminger's bond was set at $8,000 and she was released from jail the same day as her arrest after posting 10 percent of the bond -- $800.

I'm with you....I believe there is much more to be seen from this in the future.

Really ? More investigating ? A 20 year old sending naked pictures to a 13 year, and not just one, but seven ! That in itself is just wrong! 13 year old children ( seventh grade) are just that .. Children . The 20 year old ADULT should have known better - no excuses .

Perverted, just a joke, or a pedophile, I would say the IPhone told them more than we are reading.

Why are pedophiles allowed to bond out this just gives them opportunity to possiblly victimized someone else. That is not right!!!!

Why do we let 13 year old children have these hand held computers? Several years ago my wife and I got our children firefly cell phones. The parents programmed the numbers that the phone could call, and they couldn't receive any pictures or video. It was a great way to keep track of our children without the worry of things like this happening.

Thank you for explaining " masonjim49", I thought you were defending the 20 year old.

I certainly agree .. There is probably more to this and I hope the 13 year is brave enough to tell her parents all the truth.

Trust me .. Your parents will love you no matter what.

800 dollars bond guess that means this will get put off long enough for people to forget and then a slap on the wrist

They have made this story seem like more than it really is... The need to question the mother and investigate her!! She is the one who abuses the 13 year old and encourages her to break the law.... Nothing bad happened between the parties involved the sicko is the mother who is using her child/ren for pity and attention

The 20 year old is responsible for her actions . The minors parents had nothing to do with her sending that garbage to the minor .

Just because the data originated from her phone does not necessarily mean she was the sender. Up to this point it is merely allegations. Just saying ..

Hopefully justice will be served.

I think 20 years old, she is still a child as well and one who really screwed up if she chose to do this! but i have to agree about the 13 yr. old's parents, why on earth does a 13 yr. old need an Iphone? It is so evident "people stop giving your young children these phones and online priviledges and this open door for trouble", you are giving pedifiles an open door to your young children who are way to young to have control of there private time and decisions! Why does a 13 yr. old need an IPhone?

If this (young) adult took nude pictures of herself with her cell phone, my guess is she has sent these pictures to others, along with other messages .

Many 13 year olds have regular cell phones that receive text messages . Unfortunately the poor decision still falls to the adult in this situation .

which adult Orion's Belt?

My personal opinion is, if found guilty, the 20 year old should have a sex offender status and people will know her as a pedofilist! The Parents of the 13 year old are absolutely crazy to give their child anything more than a go-phone! treat your children as chilren! act like a parent, protect them people! allow no texting, it can be blocked ya know! don't people want to hear their chilrens voice anymore?

Lillymae

The adult I'm talking about is the 20 year old accused of the wrong doing.

Many adults, acting like protective parents, have disconnected their home phones and rely only on cell phones. When children get home from school and parents are at work, or are involved in divided families, it's nice to get a short message when a phone call is not an option.

But the phone issue is not the problem, it's the abuse.

Sincerely,

" A crazy parent "

I know this woman's family personally. There is no way she did what she's accused of doing... If she did, it was a mistake. A stupid mistake, but a mistake. She's not a molester or a pedophile!

-- Posted by GirlyGirl21 on Wed, Jan 9, 2013, at 5:18 PM

No one would every think this of anyone they know personally , but it happens. Daycares, coaches, priests, teachers... Etc all examples of people you would not think are capable of doing this.

And as johnpaulcoleman said .. She admitted to it .

-- Posted by Orion's Belt on Wed, Jan 9, 2013, at 8:20 PM

She'll end up in the G.C.C.C. work release program, where there is little to no supervision. She'll be allowed a cell phone, schedule time to run errands, and even become pregnant by another inmate. Of course she'll have to become interested in a male over the age of 18 for that.

OMG GirlyGirl21.... Ted Bundy was a great neighbor! What's your point! Seemingly nice people can do perverted and disturbing things that close friends don't know about! Wake up to the real world people! A mistake is something you do unknowingly... she knew the girl was 13. I do have to say kudos to the parent that turned the phone over to the police! MAYBE "Mom" will keep a better eye on her 13 year old!

Inocent until proven quilty! And compairing this to Ted Bundy, really (GET A LIFE!) This is Greene County!
