Bloomfield will host FCA event Wednesday - Get Into The Game

Monday, January 7, 2013

Bloomfield is playing host to an area-wide Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) event (Get In the Game) at Bloomfield Jr/Sr High School on Wednesday.

The event will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

This is for ALL athletes, not just winter sports, from the conference schools, including Clay City, Eastern Greene, Linton-Stockton, North Central, North Daviess, Shakamak, Union and White River Valley.

Also invited are junior high and high school athletes from Bloomington North and South, Barr-Reeve, Edgewood, Loogootee, Mitchell, North Knox, South Knox, Sullivan, Vincennes and Washington

The event is a fund raiser for Rapha House, a group organized to stop human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

There will be fellowship, guest speakers, handouts, FCA merchandise, T-shirts, prayer, music, testimony, food, games and fun at Glover Gymnasium. Buses can park in the cafeteria parking lot.

Registration start at 6:45 p.m.

Cost is a free will offering to support the Rapha House. Bring no money, or bring some -- it's up to the individual.

After you learn about the cause, you may choose to donate later -- $0, $1, $2, $5 or more.

The organizers are not keeping track of monies donated and believe this event will be an excellent opportunity for our students (and adults) to come together in the winter, to warm our hearts with fellowship and sharing our love for God and Jesus.
