Linton fifth remains unbeaten

The Linton-Stockton Elementary School boys fifth grade basketball team remained unbeaten in five tries following wins over Clay City and North Knox earlier in the week.

On Monday, the Miners defeated Clay City 37-34 behind a 13 point scoring performance from Kip Fougerousse.

Cash Howard added six while Skylar Cox and Clay Hauser added five points each, Trent Rippy three and Luke Lannan and Caleb Clark finished with two each.

In a 25-22 win at North Knox on Wednesday Fougerousse led Linton-Stockton with 17 points while Howard added eight.

They return to action on Tuesday Jan. 15 with a contest at North Daviess followed by a Thursday Jan. 17 game at home against Carlisle.
