Linton-Stockton defeated visiting Owen Valley 46-37 in an eighth grade boys basketball game Monday night.

contributed one point and three rebounds, Damian Turpin had two points and two rebounds, Trey Passen collected five points and two rebounds,
Avery Gentry finished with nine points and three rebounds, Kendall Williams had 11 points and two assists and Joe Dieball had six assists, five steals and 14 points for the 7-4 Miners.
" To be off for a month since our last game, I thought we played extremely well," said Miner coach Darren Woodward. " The game was very physical and high paced and we were in single digits with our turnovers which was great to see.
"Avery was more active on the offensive end scoring seven of his nine points in the critical fourth quarter. I thought we got big minutes out of Damian and Justin off the bench."
