Shakamak loses road game

Grace Nuhring tallied 20 points to pace Tecumseh to a 54-44 victory over visiting Shakamak in a high school girls basketball game Saturday afternoon.

Kelsey Pilant led the Lady Lakers with 17 points, making 6 of 15 field goals attempts and 5 of 8 free throws.

Megan Phipps hit a 3-pointer and finished with 11.

Katie Burkett scored 14 points and Auriel Trible added 12 for the winners, who snapped a five-game losing streak to improve to 6-9

Shakamak dropped to 4-11.

The Lady Lakers will host Washington Catholic Tuesday before playing a conference game Thursday at Eastern Greene.
