She was a 1961 graduate of Midland High School. She retired from RCA/Thompson in Bloomington. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
Judy was able to fulfill her last wish to spend her final days at home with her family whom she loved and adored.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Duke of Linton, four grandchildren, Matthew, Makayla, Chasity, and Shane, all of Linton, and five great-grandchildren, Braxton, Anthony, Alexis, Bailee and Bentlee, one great-grandson expected in May, and also a sister-in-law she loved with all her heart, Margie Hays of Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herschel Hays and Rusty Hays, and a sister, Ramona Spangler.
Visitation will held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Terry Dowell will officiate.
Burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Linton on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
