Ray was a US Army and Vietnam War Veteran. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Howesville. He worked for 33 years as a laborer at General Electric, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed running his beagles and fishing.
Survivors include: two sons, Timothy (Paula) Glenn of DeRidder, LA and Shawn Glenn of Linton; one daughter, Rhoda (Peter) Rogers; three grandchildren, Justin, Amanda and Jason; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Laurel Glenn of Indianapolis, IN.
Ray was preceded in death by: his wife, Dixie Glenn; his parents; three sisters, Ruby Bennett, JoAnna Smith and Beaulah East; and two brothers, Aaron Cecil Glenn and Cecil J. Glenn.
The funeral service will be held at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry J. Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites.
Visitation will be at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 and 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, January 25, 2013.
