Shakamak students honored for academics

Shakamak High School recently awarded its Academic Award Letters. Receiving the letters are (front, fro left) Margaret Boucher, Alksey Green, Amanda Morris, Kristen Maddox, Britnee Steveson; (second row, from left) Quica Flores, Kaitlin Jones, Kassondra Fetz, Alison Miley, Drew Gilbertson, Kelly Booker, Jerri Beck; (third row, from left) Jacob Huff, Mark West, Eamon Eccles, Brett Yeryar, Eric Johnson, Dylan Carr, Tommy Gilbert, Dalton McQuery, Isacc Hendricks; and (back, from left) Luke Sweet, Brandon Morin, Austin Rush, Sean McNabb. To be eligible, the student must be in the junior or senior class this fall, have passed both sections of the ECA, and meet one of the following criteria: A) meet the requirements, or be on track to meet the requirements for an Academic Honors Diploma and have at least a 3.2 or above GPA; B) have a GPA of 3.4 or above and completed, or be on track to complete the requirements for a CORE 40 diploma.
