The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one medical/extraction, three follow-up investigations, three requests for information only, five for lifting assistance, five assists to the utility department after hours, three custody disputes or exchanges, one drug investigation, one utility repair, one incident of animal cruelty, one public intoxication, one intimidation, one missing or runaway juvenile, one accident with property damage, two funeral escorts, two lost and found, two suicides or attempted suicides, four medical/illness, one alarm, two suspicious vehicles or persons, three assists to other agencies, two extra patrols, two thefts, one animal or debris in roadway, one bicycle theft, one 911 prank or false call, three domestic disputes, one domestic dispute - neighbor, and 20 traffic stops.
* Jan. 25 -- When Linton officers responded to a report of man acting suspiciously at a local restaurant, they responded and arrested him after they discovered the man was wanted on a felony warrant in another county.
Joshua Lee Harden, 24, of Terre Haute, was taken into custody around 8:30 p.m. at the Linton Dairy Queen after officers received the report around 7:45 p.m. A bench warrant for Harden's arrest had been issued in Vigo County for failure to appear in court on charges of two counts of criminal mischief, both class D felonies, one count of residential entry, a class D felony, and one count of public intoxication, a class B misdemeanor.
Harden was transported to the Greene County Jail. The Vigo County warrant specified his bond was $25,000 with no ten percent permitted. LPD Patrolman Brock Garrison was assisted by other LPD officers on the scene.
