UPDATED: Union loses road game

A slow start cost Union another chance at picking up its first victory of the season.

The Bulldogs (0-18) only scored one basket in the first quarter as they lost to host Riverton Parke (5-13) 59-49

The Panthers jumped out to a 12-2 lead which they pushed to 33-13 at intermission.

Union did outscore RP 36-26 in the second half.

Ethan Fettig led the Bulldogs with 13 points. Sterling Langley scored 12 points, Ian Hamburg 11 and Zac Birdsong added 10.

Brendon Bovair scored 17 points for the winners. Matt Holtom added 14.

Union, who has dropped 23 straight games, will play a conference game Thursday against visiting North Daviess.
