Barrett B. Potts, 76, of Jasonville, passed away at 7:27 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 in Regional Hospital, Terre Haute.
He was born July 25, 1936 in Dillsboro, N.C. to Ferdie Clinton Potts and Luna C. (Childers) Potts.
Survivors include his wife, Allie E. (Rapier) Potts of Jasonville, whom he married on Oct. 15, 1955; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry R. and Jeri Potts of Chicago, IL, Gary L. and Diane Potts of Hobart, Larry D. Potts of Hammond, Kenneth E. Potts of Jasonville, Randall L. and Katherine Potts of Munster, Ind.; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda J. and John Hanish of Jasonville, Sharon L. and John Hnatko of Chesterton; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-brother, Bill Brown.
Barrett had worked for LTV Steel Company for 37 years. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved fishing, gardening and raising chickens and his dog Molley.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville with visitation scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday service time at the funeral home. Funeral service is at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
