Clarence E. Creager, 95, of Linton, passed away 3:25 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Greene County Hospital in Linton.

Clarence was born March 28, 1917, in Merom to Augustus B. and Margaret Ann (Pleasant) Creager.

Clarence taught at Linton-Stockton High School for 41 years, retiring in 1980. He taught Agricultural Science and Biology, was faculty sponsor for FFA and Junior Class, and was a 4-H Leader for more than 40 years. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, now First United Methodist Church, in Linton, was formerly on the Board and founder of Ellis Water Company. He was inducted into the Linton Hall of Fame in 2007. Clarence was 50 year charter member of Linton Civitan Club.

He is survived by three children, Ron (Barbara) Creager, Indianapolis; Darrell (Pat) Creager, Mustang, OK; Marsha (Ron) Brown, Linton; eight grandchildren, John (Karen) Creager, Marni (Jeff) Parnell, Jennifer (Roger) Fisher, Darra (Chuck) Bomhoff, Kevin (Jamie) Creager, Dustin (Rebecca) Creager, Jason (Cindy) Walton, Katie (Greg) Elliott; 16 great grandchildren; and his special friend, Vera Jackson, Bloomfield.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; Annabell (Clements) Creager, Nov. 29, 2001; three brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Linton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Cooper and Chris Gerring officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Monday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the church.
