Local students take the 'Imagine Yourself Here' Tour

(Submitted photo) The 2013 Imagine Yourself Here Greene County Tour was conducted Wednesday. The tour participants included 4-H Junior Leaders, Greene County Foundation Scholarship winners and area educators. The purpose of the event, sponsored by the Greene County Founation and Purdue Extension Service Greene County was to show the youngsters the many opportunities for employment in the county in an effort to entice them to come back home after their post secondary studies. The tour included stops at Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area, Greene County General Hospital in Linton, Green Crop Services near Worthington, Pioneer Hi-Bred plant near Worthington, the Greene County Fairgrounds, and SAIC at WestGate at Crane Technology Park. Participants had a meet and greet session at Pioneer Hi-Bred with Indiana Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann.
