SWITZ CITY -- Mother Nature has had her way with the 2014 Team Raydar Greene County Invitational.

According to tournament director and White River Valley athletic director and boys head coach J.B. Neill, the tournament will get underway on Saturday with a marathon first round session.

Things will start at 11 a.m. Saturday with all four first round games.

At 11 a.m., White River Valley will take on Linton-Stockton with Eastern Greene vs. North Central (12:30 p.m.), Bloomfield vs. Union (2 p.m.) and Shakamak vs. Clay City (3:30 p.m.) to follow.

Semifinal action will now shift to Monday night beginning at 6 p.m. when the winners of game 1 and game 2 meet followed the winners of game 3 and game 4.

The action will continue with the third-place game at 6 p.m. Tuesday followed by the championship game at 7:30 p.m.

There will be no consolation games at this year's tournament and losers in the first round will get only one game instead of the traditional three games.

Tickets for the event are $5 and available at the door for each session.

Not how I would have done it. There's a way to keep every team with three games....

Game 2: Eastern Green vs. North Central, 9:30 a.m.

Game 3: Bloomfield vs. Union, 11 a.m.

Game 4: Shakamak vs. Clay City, 12:30 p.m.

(Clear the gym, people have to pay to re-enter)

Session 2: Saturday Evening, January 11

Game 5: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, 3 p.m.

Game 6: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 4:30 p.m.

Game 7: Loser Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4, 6 p.m.

Game 8: Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4, 7:30 p.m.

Session 3: Monday, January 13

Game 9: Loser GM 5 vs. Loser GM 7, 6 p.m.

Game 10: Winner GM 6 vs. Winner GM 8, 7:30 p.m.

Session 4: Tuesday, January 14

Game 11: Loser GM 6 vs. Loser GM 8, 6 p.m.

Game 12: Winner GM 6 vs. Winner GM 8, 7:30 p.m.

Game 9 is the double loser game, Game 10 is the consolation championship. Game 11 is the third-place game and Game 12 is the championship.
