Optometrist plants to retire

To the Editor:

After 43 years of having had the priviledge of serving Greene and surrounding counties in the Optical business, it is with mixed feelings that I have decided to retire.

Most folks retire from work, but I can honestly say that I never really considered my daily dealings with patients as "work". I have met so many great individuals and families over the decades and believe they added more to my life than any small service I may have provided to them. Taking care of third generations in families made me feel as though I was actually a part of their family. I want folks to know I will always cherish those relationships and am eternally grateful for the opportunity to have been able to live and raise our family here.
