Contracted cook at prison arrested on drug charge

CARLISLE ---- A Vigo County woman has been jailed for drug possession at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility(WVCF).

ARAMARK Cook Jill Phillips, 30, was arrested by WVCF Correctional Police Officers Kevin Allen and Randy Rasner after a search of her vehicle. Officers found .3 grams of marijuana inside her car, according to WWCF Public Information Officer Richard Larsen.

"Investigators said gathered intelligence led them to Phillips who worked in the main food production kitchen at the facility." Larsen

Phillips faces a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor.

She was transported to the Sullivan County Jail with bond set at $4,000.

ARAMARK is the contracted food provider for the Indiana Department of Correction. Phillips has been dismissed from her supervisory position with ARAMARK.
