Short Take: Work progressing on Greene County Community Building

Thursday, October 16, 2014

The work is progressing on the renovations and upgrades to the Greene County 4-H Community Building and things are going well according to Greene County Commissioner Rick Graves. He said the interior crew has stripped out the existing panels and they have begun installing the frame work for the new look. "It's coming along really well," Graves said. "I go by there about every day and things are progressing. There's contractors in there working everyday." Among items passersby will notice is large pile of metal scrap sitting next to the building. Graves said when the current siding on the building comes off, it will join the heap and then be taken away to a scrap yard. The money raised from the scrapping will go back into the project fund for the building.
