Eastern Heights Utilities boil order lifted on Sunday morning

Sunday, August 9, 2015

The boil order affecting Eastern Heights Utilities water customers was lifted Sunday morning, August 9.

In a call to the Greene County Daily World around 11 a.m. Sunday, a representative of Eastern Heights announced the good news.

In a press release, the utility company said, "A Boil Water Advisory was issued after routine positive samples were collected on August 5, 2015. Since then 'the problem' has been corrected. Bacteriological samples have been collected from the representative site(s) of the affected area and tested. The test results were satisfactory and it is no longer necessary to boil the water.

"Thank you for your patience and for water conservation measures you followed."

If any customers have questions, contact Eastern Heights Utilities at 812-384-8261 or at 812-384-8050 and ask for General Manager Kenneth McIntosh.
