Annual Fiberglass RV Rally visits Shakamak State Park

Friday, May 20, 2016

Every year between Mother's Day and Memorial Day a group of campers travel with their Fiberglass RV's from around the country to attend an event known as "Ray's Fish Fry." Ray Bakehorn of Greencastle started his adventure with fiberglass RV's in 2005 and began this annual rally in 2006. An avid fisherman, Bakehorn easily provided enough fish to feed all of his guests their first trip. While the cookout has changed locations each year and the group has grown, the name has stayed. Since 2006, the event has now made its way to Shakamak State Park in Jasonville twice, the first time being in 2009. The group met through a website that organizes rallies across the U.S. for fiberglass RV enthusiasts.
