Bloomfield Downtown Revitalization group to raise funds

Wednesday, November 23, 2016

The Bloomfield Downtown Revitalization group (BDR), an Indiana Main Street organization and registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit, has found a resourceful way to raise money.

The group has signed up with Funding Factory, a company that pays for used toner and inkjet cartridges.

According to the company’s website, Funding Factory has helped 58,100 participants to raise 33.1 million, and has kept 42.2 million pounds out of the country’s landfills. The site states that Funding Factory helps organizations connect with communities, fund goals and help the environment.

“We want to raise funds to put to use in improving the quality of life and lessening the burden of government to revitalize downtown Bloomfield as a destination for all to live, work and visit,” said BDF member Matt Miller.

The group has set up collection containers at the Greene County Recycling Center in Switz City, Farmers and Mechanics Federal in Bloomfield and Season’s Greetings in Bloomfield. The containers will have a complete list of qualifying cartridges, and will bear signage identifying it as a drop-off conatiner for BDF. As more locations are added, they will be listed in the Greene County Daily World.

People can help by sending monetary donations as well. BDR is a qualified charitable organization, and donations are tax-deductible.

Donations may be sent to:
