Lori Ann (Halstead) Harbaugh

Lori Ann (Halstead) Harbaugh, 46, of Clay City, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 11, 2017.

Lori was born Oct. 12, 1970 in Terre Haute, the daughter of Mildred (Sapp) Halstead and the late Jerry Halstead. She graduated from Shakamak High School in 1989. She then received her Pharmacy Tech Degree from Ivy Tech. Lori attended Cosmetology School at Longs Beauty Academy. She has owned her own shop, XS Salon in Clay City, since 2002. Lori married Shane Harbaugh on Dec. 22, 2001.

She was known for her quick wit and her laughter. Often times she was referred as ‘the life of the party’, but would be the first one to be there for anyone in need. Lori loved going on vacations to the beach, was known as a history buff: especially in regards to World War II, loved watching Harry Potter movies with her daughter, Hallie and her son, Tyler. Lori spent a lot of time going to doctor appointments with her daughter, Jayci. Her greatest joy was being with her husband, children and family. Lori also enjoyed caring for her horse, Cash, her dog, Sammy, and her cat, Merlin. Some of Lori’s best memories were had on some old dirt roads. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Halstead; her grandparents, Bob and Jane Halstead, and Bill and Elizabeth Sapp.

Lori is survived by her husband of 15 years, Shane Harbaugh; children, Tyler Stevenson, Jayci Steuerwald, and Hallie Harbaugh; mother, Mildred Halstead; sister, Dana Fry (Chris); brother, Jimmy Selvia; sister in law, Sheila Rader (Jim); mother in law, Jeanne Harbaugh; and her lifelong best friend,

Jacki Collins; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Funeral

Home and again Thursday at 12:00 PM until the time of the services. Services will be Thursday at 2:00
