Preventing Infant and Toddler Abuse

SPENCER, Ind. – The littlest Hoosiers are often the most vulnerable to abuse and neglect. The Indiana Youth Institute’s 2017 KIDS COUNT in Indiana Data Book shows that 47 percent of all child abuse and neglect cases in 2014 involved infants and children younger than five. But prevention programs that educate and support families can help keep Indiana’s toddlers and infants safe.
