UPDATE: H St NE in Linton to be open as of 3 p.m.

Wednesday, August 9, 2017

The Linton Police Department as of 2:15 p.m., the area near the school will be open to traffic sooner than expected.

H Street NE will be open to traffic Thursday at 3 p.m. Construction in the area finished sooner than expected. The area was expected to be closed to traffic due to construction in the parking lot outside the administration building.

Due to maintenance on one of the Linton-Stockton School Corporation parking lots, a portion of H Street Northeast will be closed Thursday afternoon.

Superintendent Nick Karazsia said additional work needs done on the parking lot just outside the Administration Building in the afternoon, which has caused the need for a temporary road closure from 2:55 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Karazsia said in order to safely transport bus-riding students at the middle and high school, buses will be lined up on H Street NE from North Main Street to First Street NE. The bus lane will be blocked off.

Karazsia said the pick up process will remain the same, but parents will need to avoid this section of H Street to access the pick up area.

This temporary change will not cause issues at the elementary school, Karazsia noted.
