On Saturday, Aug. 19, many Eastern Greene High School football players lent their afternoon to help get the Thunder Youth Athletic Complex ready for its first weekend of games on Aug. 26 and 27.

The complex has been in the works for several years and many families in the community have spent hundreds of hours fundraising, planning and building the complex. The high school athletes were excited to be giving back to a league that many were a part of just a few years ago. The players helped finish the chain link fence, position goal posts for resurrection and many other details necessary to ready the complex for its first games.

The Eastern Thunder Football Community League is very grateful for the help and even more proud of the great kids the high school players are on and off the field.
