Bloomfield boys beat Clay City, but Lady Eels win girls meet
Bloomfield’s junior high cross country teams enjoyed mixed success Tuesday night in a dual meet with visiting Clay City.
The boys won 24-31. Justin Beard of Bloomfield finished first with a time of 11:18.
Clay City won the girls race 29-30. Mary Tucker of Clay City placed first with a time of 13:08: Adalyn Wiseman led the Bloomfield Girls, finishing fourth with a time of 14:14.

Bloomfield boys, Eastern girls win at Shakamak
A week earlier, on September 14, Bloomfield competed against Eastern and North Daviess in a four-way meet at Shakamak.
The Bloomfield boys won with 26 points, followed by Eastern, 30; Shakamak, 89; and North Daviess, 97. Justin Beard of Bloomfield finished first with a time of 11:12.78.
Eastern won the girls race with 28 points, followed by Shakamak, 41; Bloomfield, 62; and North Daviess, 116. Lilyanna Blais of Eastern finished first with a time of 12:34.
