Vincennes AIDS Walk scheduled

A new volunteer meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. time at the Knox County Public Library, 502 N. 7th Street in Vincennes.

The group will discuss final plans for the Vincennes/VU AIDS Walk, as well as sponsoring local events to raise awareness about the local impact of HIV and AIDS. The 9th Annual VU / Vincennes AIDS Walk will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at the Vincennes University Student Recreation Center, 1600 Short Street, Vincennes. Free HIV testing will begin at 9:30 a.m., and a health fair begins at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will go towards grocery store gift cards for low-income households impacted by HIV / AIDS in Vincennes, in Knox County, and the Illinois and Indiana Counties that border Knox County.
