SWIAC names All-Conference basketball teams

Southwest Indiana Athletic Conference officials announced on Tuesday afternoon the members of the All-Conference basketball teams.

Members of both teams will be honored at a banquet at 6:00 p.m next Tuesday in the Linton High School auditoria.

The conference officials also named the Academic All-SWIAC team. Its members are: Kesley Moody, Wyatt Hasler, and Sammy Query, all of Bloomfield; Carter Myers, Calvin Fry, and Addie Kittle, Clay City; Dakota Abell and Jordyn Kieft, Eastern; Maggie Booe, Lauryn Miller, and Caroline Wilson, Linton; Samantha Johns and Hannah Shroyer, North Central; Ashtin Wilson, Logan Gingerich, and Sarah Yoder, North Daviess; Benjamin Waggoner and Elesa McDonald, Shakamak; and Alexander Wolfe and Sierra Padgett, White River Valley.

The girls All-SWIAC team is comprised of: Malea Toon and Kylee Shelton, Bloomfield; Avalee Jeffers, Madelyn Ames, and Andrea Steward, Clay City; Vanessa Shafford, Aubrey Burgess, Haley Rose, and Mallorey Frye, Linton; Averi Davidson, Rachel Shroyer, and Courtney Williams, North Central; Hunter Beuhler, North Daviess; Brittany Huddleston, Shakamak; and Addison Graves, WRV.

Players receiving honorable mention for the girls team were: Nicole Kilzer and Hayley England, Bloomfield; Michelle Hatfield, Eastern; Jocelyn Cox, North Central; Moriah Messmer, Shakamak; and Lacey Fisher, WRV.

Members of the All-SWIAC boys basketball team are: Isaac Combs, Tad Kapek, Kyler Hudson, and Turner Royal, Bloomfield; Corbin Crosby, Clay City; Ethan Helton and Caleb Hamilton, Eastern; Kip Fougerousse, Lincoln Hale, Evan Slover, and Sammy Robbins, Linton; Jack Wininger and Kirk Wagler, North Daviess; Lane Gilbert, Shakamak; and Tanner Denham, WRV.

Boys earning honorable mention were: Jacob LaFary, Clay City; Chase Wiseley and Bryton Suggs, North Central; Rylee Landry, Shakamak; and Andrew Ellett, White River Valley.
