GCGH introduces cardio-pulmonary rehab facility
The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Tuesday to celebrate GCGH’s Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab facility. Open since July, the facility has had over 700 visits, according to GCGH CEO Brenda Reetz.
“The Rehab Center provides patrons with a place to exercise safely and improve their health,” Reetz said. “They have the assistance of our professional staff who provide support, track their progress using heart monitors and our cardiologists, who provide feedback. Patients with COPD or problems with asthma especially benefit.” The facility is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A doctor’s referral is needed to use the facility, which doubles as an employee fitness center when not scheduled for use by patients.
