Programs can help with utility bills in Linton

Tuesday, January 22, 2019

In light of current financial conditions for some Linton residents due to the current government shutdown, Mayor John Wilkes issued a statement reminding all Linton Utility customers there are policies in place to assist those struggling to pay their bill on time.

“We have policies in place to help anybody that has issues paying their utility bills. We have programs to help everybody out. It doesn’t matter who they are. Any individual can come to the utility office,” Wilkes said Tuesday morning.

“All they have to do is come to the utility office and we will work with them on an individual basis.”

Those with concerns about paying their utility bill in a timely manner can visit Linton City Hall, located at 86 S. Main Street, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is closed from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for lunch. Visit the utility window to the left inside the building and let the employees know about the concern.
