Kenneth Eugene Richardson

Kenneth Eugene Richardson, age 88, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, June 1.

Born Jan. 6, 1931 in Bloomfield, he was the son of John and Frieda (Stone) Richardson. He married Ruth Hudson on August 31, 1955.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. He retired from AT&T, formerly Indiana Bell, after 27 years of service as a facility assigner.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 63 years, Ruth (Hudson) Richardson; a sister-in-law, Ruth Richardson; a brother-in-law, Harry Hudson; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eldon and James Richardson; sisters, Imogene Terrell, Eleanor Justus, Esther Cecil, and Martha Richardson; and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Pastor Jim Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
