2019 Linton Freedom Festival schedule of events

It’s almost time for Linton’s biggest event of the year.

The 2019 Linton Freedom Festival festivities begin June 29 and will wrap up for the year on July 6.

The official schedule released by the Linton Freedom Festival Taskforce is as follows:

Saturday, June 29

• 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Car show at Humphreys Park

• 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Master Gardener’s Garden Walk at various locations

• 6:30 p.m. - Baby Freedom/Miss Sparkler/Mister Firecracker Contests at Humphreys Park Band Shell

• 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Rock and Blues with Sister Bluebird (Geoffrey Gentry and Friends) at Humphreys Park Band Shell

Sunday, June 30

• 3 p.m. - Pony pulling contest at Larry Kinnett’s horse barn on CR 200 N-signs will be posted

• 5 p.m. - Heavyweight horse pull at Larry Kinnett’s horse barn on CR 200 N-signs will be posted

• 7 - 8 p.m. - Gospel music with Dixie House and Friends at Humphreys Park Band Shell

• 8 - 9 p.m. - Contemporary Christian music with Carrie Taylor at Humphreys Park Band Shell

Monday, July 1

• 1 - 5 p.m. - Red Cross blood drive at Humphreys Park West Shelter

• 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. - Classic rock with Addiction at Humphreys Park Band Shell

Tuesday, July 2

• 5 - 10 p.m. - Marketplace at Humphreys Park East Shelter

• 6 p.m. - Carnival midway opens at Humphreys Park

• 7 - 9 p.m. - Classic and modern rock with Emulsify at Humphreys Park Band Shell

Wednesday, July 3

• 5 - 10 p.m. - Marketplace at Humphreys Park East Shelter

• 6 p.m. - Carnival Midway opens at Humphreys Park

Thursday, July 4

• 6 - 9 a.m. - Civitan ham breakfast at the Linton Fire Station

• 9:45 a.m. - Lee and Holly Marcum patriotic music and National Anthem at the parade review stand

• 10 a.m. - 114th Freedom Festival Parade

• 1 - 10 p.m. - Marketplace at Humphreys Park East Shelter

• 6 p.m. - Carnival midway opens at Humphreys Park

• 7 p.m. - American Legion Post 22 Presentation of Colors at Humphreys Park Band Shel

• 7:05 p.m. - Presentation of Freedom Festival Royalty (2018 Queen/2019 Indiana State Festivals Queen Madison Millick, 2019 Queen Crislyn Woods, 2019 Runner-Up Isabel Meek, 2019 Princess Emma Brinson, 2019 Runner-Up Princess Makenna O’Bryan, 2019 2nd Runner-Up Princess Karly Smock) at Humphreys Park Band Shell
