Open House October 5th

Title A Place Called Hope Rehabilitation Home Opening Soon

We are happy to announce our upcoming Open House for A Place Called Hope Inc. to the public. In 2018 a large two story house was donated to A Place Called Hope. The home needed a total renovation at an estimated cost of $50,000. I am proud to announce that with the help of donations from individuals, local businesses and churches and many volunteers we have been able to complete the renovation project and we intend to open our doors in the fall of 2019 for women desiring to overcome their addictions to drugs and alcohol.

Our mission is to help women, aged 18 and older, with life-controlling problems and at-risk children of dependent mothers, giving preference to homeless female veterans who are struggling with drug abuse issues who are the fastest growing population among homeless Vets. Our mission is to provide much needed programs that address their most urgent needs of overcoming addictions and transition from an unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy and productive members of our communities. A Place Called Hope offers a long term one year residential faith-based program on a voluntary basis at no cost to the individual. Although we will receive referrals from throughout the state of Indiana our priority is to serve the surrounding counties of, Clay, Green and Virgo.

As you probably already know that the increase of drug overdoses are on an all time increase and that deaths from drug overdoses have surpassed the total number of deaths caused by guns. Our leadership has a combined eighty -years of experience in working with people with drug and alcohol addictions. The executive director, Dr Duane Chassie served as the executive director of a residential drug facility in Florida for nearly thirty years and has received many distinguished awards for achieving a high success of helping individuals overcome their addictions and become productive members of society once again.
