FREE ACCESS: Greene County Assessors and Recorders offices close March 20

According to Greene County Assessor Dawn Abrams, the Greene County Assessor’s Office and the Greene County Recorder’s Office will close at 2 p.m. on Friday March 20, 2020, based on recommendations and guidance from the President of the United States, the Center for Disease Control, the Indiana Governor’s Office and the Greene County Health Department, due to the recent pandemic regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

“In order to continue to serve the citizens of Greene County, all business that needs to be conducted through these offices will be by appointment only,” Abrams said. “You may call the Assessor’s office at (812) 384-2002 or email at assessor@co.greene.in.us and the Recorder’s Office at (812) 381-0499 or email at recorder@co.greene.in.us. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, please know that the health and welfare of our staff and the public is our utmost concern and our priority at this time. We want to make sure we are doing our part to lessen the spread of the COVID-19.”
