Worthington library closes doors, still offers services

Saturday, March 21, 2020

Due to the Coronavirus, the Worthington Jefferson Township Public Library Board of Trustees has made the decision to lock the doors, but you will still be able to check out items using our "curb-side" type of service. The health and safety of our staff and patrons is of the upmost importance.

With the ‘curb-side type of service, you will not be able to come inside to the circulation area. We will bag your items, and place them in the vestibule area. Here are the ways that you can check out items.

1.Place holds on our items through the Evergreen website. If you do not know how to do this, call us at 812-875-3815, and we will explain it to you. Here is the website, www.evergreen.lib.in.us

2.Email us with a list of requests. Our email address is wjtpl@yahoo.com. Please include your name, address, phone number, and library card number with your requests.

3.Call us at 812-875-3815 with your requests. We will ask you for your name, address, phone number and library card number.

We will check the items out for you. Once you are here, call us, and we will let you into the vestibule area so that you can pick up your items. For safety reasons, we ask that there be only one person in the vestibule area at a time.

You can also check out e-books and magazines through the Overdrive app.

No date has been determined as to when we will be open to the public.

Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time. May you all have continued good health.
