School bus drills, other requirements waived for Indiana schools

Monday, April 13, 2020

Indiana schools will no longer have to complete school bus drills, emergency preparedness drills, and other incomplete requirements that cannot be met due to school buildings being closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Friday, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, in coordination with Superintendent of Public Instruction Jennifer McCormick, signed executive order 20-20, which waives these incomplete requirements and outlines options for school corporations to complete their annual staff performance evaluations.
