City of Linton conducting survey

Monday, December 28, 2020

The City of Linton intends to apply to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for a Community Development Block Grant to complete a Comprehensive Plan. An income survey by mail will be conducted by the City. The City of Linton and the Southern Indiana Development Commission are working together to gather information needed to apply for the grant funds for the proposed project. The income survey is necessary to determine if Linton will be eligible for the grant funds.

Randomly selected residents in the City of Linton will receive an income survey by mail starting the week of Jan. 4, 2021. The City is asking residents to assist with the survey process by completing the survey and returning it in the provided self-addressed stamped envelope.

Obtaining this grant will not be possible without the cooperation and assistance of the residents.

The grant is necessary in order to provide financial assistance needed by the City of Linton for the proposed project. Your participation is needed and will be greatly appreciated. This survey will be kept confidential, as names and addresses of the residents will not be placed on the survey forms.

Anyone with questions about this survey should contact the City of Linton at (812) 847-7754, or Matt Sward of the Southern Indiana Development Commission at (812) 295-3707.

  • What is the proposed project that the funds from the grant will be used for?

  • I thought they should tell what the project is too. It is apparently being held confidential too.

  • Either don't fill it out or lie like a politician when you do. Add a few million to your income.
