FREE ACCESS: Linton Water Department to flush hydrants Oct. 17 - 22

The Linton Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants beginning on Sunday, Oct. 17 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly until Friday, Oct. 22.

It is anticipated the flushing process will require five nights to complete, and should be finished Oct. 22.

“During this process, customers may notice a discoloration of the water,” said Linton Utilities General Manager Brent Slover. “It is recommended customers keep clothes washing to a minimum during this time, as discolored water has been known to cause stains in white or light-colored clothing.”
