Natasha (Dougherty) (Graves) Swingley

Natasha (Dougherty) (Graves) Swingley, 72, of Bloomington, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 11, 2022, surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law. She was born in New Albany on November 30, 1949, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Dougherty of Salem. She was a graduate of Salem High School and held four degrees from Indiana University-Bloomington. She graduated with a PhD in Psychology from the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University. She was guidance counselor at both Eastern-Greene and Linton-Stockton High Schools and began the Linton Miner RedSteppers Program (now Miner Cadets). She was instrumental in beginning the Cathrine Hamilton Center in Lyons where she worked until her move to the Terre Haute location. She and Roland, whom she married in October 1980, owned Swingley Chevrolet in Terre Haute, Circle Chevrolet in downtown Indianapolis and Quality Leasing in Broad Ripple for many years.
