Melvin Reichert

Melvin Reichert, age 90, of Tucson, Ariz. passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, peacefully in his sleep. He was born on January 12, 1932, the son of Earl and Ertus Reichert.

Melvin was a 1949 graduate of Midland High School. He attended the Linton First United

Methodist Church. He was service manager at Kulenschmidt Chrysler Plymouth in Newbury and shift manager for Peabody Coal Company. He also worked for Sunshine Jeep Tours in Tucson, Ariz.

He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, traveling, eating out and being with his friends.

Janette I. Reichert, age 82, of Linton, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Lyons

Health and Living Center in Lyons. She was born in Switz City on March 24, 1932, the daughter of Carl and Edna (Blanton) Moyer. Janette worked as a real estate agent for Century 21, Peoples Trust Company and as an insurance agent for Western and Southern Life Insurance Company, all of Linton. She and her husband lived in Arizona for eight years before moving back to Linton. She was a member of the Linton First United Methodist Church.

They are survived by their grandchildren, Lyssa Castor (husband Matthew Castor), Kayla Toro (husband Joel Toro) and Kyle Reichert (wife Catherine Reichert); son-in-law, Jeff Cline of Ky. and five great-great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Anna Grace, Allison Castor,

Logan and Landon Toro.

Melvin and Janette are preceded in death by their son, Michael D Reichert; daughter, Debra (Debbie) Cline; sister, Laura (Reichert) Lewis and Janette’s brother Lee Moyer.

A memorial service for Melvin and Janette will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Biggs officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Private burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
