Linton-Stockton High School state qualifiers announced as 2024 Freedom Festival Ambassadors

The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce and the Linton Freedom Festival Taskforce are pleased to announce that the Linton Freedom Festival Ambassadors for 2024 will be the Linton-Stockton High School State Finalists in Cross Country and Ladies Track. These young ladies are not new to the Freedom Festival Ambassador status. Each have been recognized previously for their top performances in cross country, track and field and volleyball. Representing Miner Cross Country and Lady Miner Track during the Freedom Festival Parade will be Peyton Smith, Sophie Hale and Becca Robbins.

Smith, a 2024 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, qualified and participated in the fall of 2023 at the State Cross County finals in Terre Haute. Smith also qualified and participated in the 1600M State Track finals in Bloomington. Representing Lady Miner Track and Field will be State Qualifiers Sophie Hale and Becca Robbins. Hale, a 2024 Linton-Stockton High School graduate, competed at state finals in the 100-meter hurdles and long jump. Robbins, a junior at Linton-Stockton High School, competed in the discus. Smith and Hale will be participating in the Linton Freedom Festival parade on July 4. Due to a previous commitment, Robbins will not be able to participate. The 2024 Linton Freedom Festival Parade will be held on Thursday, July 4 at 10 a.m. in downtown Linton.
