How do we choose the president

To the Editor:

We are about to go through another election process where we choose a leader. It has been an exercise in futility for many years. Every once in a while, we choose a man with a good mind and good ideas. May it be thus this time. Maybe we should review our process of how we come to a choice. I have been urging voters to vote their choice, not being influenced by party, union or T.V. I WAS WRONG!

To get out of the mess created by our past bad choices, we need a miracle. Shouldn't we be consulting with the historically proven miracle worker? Shouldn't we be getting down on our knees and rely on God for the answers? Politicians have convinced us that Government has all the answers. The answers they brought us is debt, poverty, war, unemployment, misery, immorality, etc.

We have turned our backs to God. Even those of us who call ourselves Christians. We have relegated God, and things of God, to a few hours on Sunday. The rest of the week, serve mammon. During war and profound hardships, our churches were full. Now these churches are full of empty seats. We have lost two, maybe three generations to the world.

How long has it been since you have discussed God and Jesus Christ, with your children and your grandchildren? Do you want them to be in the hands of Satan all their lives, and beyond?

Why not arrange to have them join you in Church and Sunday School this Sunday? You may discover the good feeling you've been missing.

This Country was founded on Christian principles and prospered while we practiced these principles. As a Country, we had the favor of God, but not today. We have gone astray, like the prodigal son, II Chronicles, in the Bible tells, no promises us, "If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways. Then will I hear from Heaven, will forgive their sins, and heal their land."

We certainly need this healing.

September 16th is National Go Back to Church Sunday. Why not be one of the number and join us there?

Thanks for listening
